Yea on eBay they have the low voltage alarms.
is there any low voltage cut offs that just plug into the battery because all the ones i could find you have to wire it into the speed control and reciever

cool do you know where i could find one
They seem to be less common, but they do exist. http://www.amazon.com/Lipo-Alarm-Low.../dp/B004DEOW7G
No idea how well buzzers work though, I'll always be using the standard lvc.

how do you think that hooks to the battery
You just connect it to the balance plug. The reason the other cut offs all connect to the ESC is so the cut off can stop the motor temporarily to alert you that the voltage is low. Any one that doesn't connect to the ESC is just an alarm. That one is supposed to light up and make noise, but like I said, I have no idea how effective it is.

kool i think i will give it a try
do lipo batterys have better run time than nihm
thanks for the help
Often yes, they have high capacity. The lipo discharge curve is also more flat than NiMH, they deliver power more consistently throughout the entire run.

Just get a voltage checker and check it at 2 minted 4 min 6 min 8 yada yada till you get down to 3.7 then run it a few minutes less then that and check it
Then time your drive time
I wouldn't count on 3 volt lvc as a battery protection at that low the battery is already being damaged
When in doubt shut her down
