it would be much faster to just order one the mini jets RTF from Nitroplanes. Then down the road after you crash it, you will have all the needed components for the next one.
If you have the Dynam ME 262 you will need to make this mod to make the steering and rudder work correctly. If you try reversing the wires the RX rudder channel will stop working all together.

I used Tamiya military spray can paint and did not prepare the surface at all. It just worked for me.
There are many ways to determine the COG on your plane, but this is the easiest and the fastest way.

Yea Night Vapors are very cool
For some reason the last two or three planes I have encountered required me to plug up the battery and then turn on the transmitter for ESC arming. Not that I like it that way....
it is also only 3 channels, ailerons would make it nimble and way more fun
Thanks, no the small motor is brushed.
only watch if you are building this plane

BlueDuck, I am not able to make new threads either and have no idea how to help, apologies.
Darrin, I can only check in occasionally and look for unanswered questions, I am unable to start new...
I pop in and out but for the most part I am just doing other things these days
while not at all familiar with the plane I will be happy to try to help you
Profound words : )
well, I have not seen a better written explanation.

That will work fine.
Yes, I have used double faced servo tape for that also.
