Nuttcaze,

Randy
The charger is capable of being programmed to your choice of where you want the battery to "stop" being charged.  In the manual, it's referred to as the "Voltage Cut-Off".  It should have come with the standard settings which are:
2 Cell battery "Cut-Off" at 8.4 volts. (8.4v) and 3 Cell battery "Cut-Off" at 12.6 volts.  So a 7.4 volt (Two Cell ) battery will charge till the voltage reaches 8.4 volts and then stop charging on its own, and a 11.1 volt (Three Cell) battery will charge till the voltage reaches 12.6 volts and stop charging on it's own.  The volts that you want your battery to be when done charging are done in the "USER SETTINGS" menu on the LED screen of your charger.  If you read the manual a few times, it will start to make a lot more sense.  BE VERY CARFUL NOT TO SET YOUR "CUT-OFF" VOLTAGE HIGHER THAN 12.6 VOLTS OR IT WILL WILL WILL WILL CATCH FIRE.

NOPE,,,on the Thunder T6 and AC6, you cannot CHANGE the cut-off voltage,,you can only select the battery type and cell count. For instance,,,you cannot set the charger for cut-off voltage of 12.5 volts for a 3 cell. The cut-off voltages are preset values. I had a BAD charger,,,no problem with the new one!

Not too many folks will be using this charger for 6s, but DO NOT charge 6s on AC with this charger.
You MUST use another external DC power source to charge 6s. Then it's ok.

Why? The internal power supply is not powerful enough to work with the boost mode of the charger (where the battery voltage is greater than the charger power supply voltage, which is 12v). It gets REALLY REALLY REALLY HOT!!!!!

It gets so hot that the pretty blue LCD will turn PURPLE!!! You can no longer touch the charger, and I am amazed that it didn't melt down.

These are awesome chargers for 3s or less, or for more, if you use external DC input.
Also remember that this is a 50 watt supply. Good for large charge currents at low voltages, but it maxes out at about 2 amps at 6s, no matter the current setting.

What you are saying is;; this is a POORLY designed charger for 6S batteries. If it is not capable of charging 6S,,,,then don't promote it as a 6S charger. There is NO WARNING or even a suggestion not to charge 6S on AC. So,,,if it burns out while I am using it 'as advertised',,,then it's on the folks who promote/manufacture it. I'm going to return mine!

you can charge your battery just fine with the charger but when you are using the internal power supply you will be limited to charging at something like 2.2A, but when you connect it to an extrenal power supply then you will be able to charge up to 5A

Thnx Mark , but when I meant is what max Amp the external power supply (battery) can have in order
not to effect the charger.
