Daaam. I forgot about the boats. I had one years ago. It was a lot of fun before it sprung a leak and sank. I guess I need to add that to the list for next spring too.

last boat I had was a very long time ago, I had a Traxxas Villian IV, man it was a sweet boat, then it got stolen, along with both of the rc monster trucks I had and a rc car. Worst part was the people who stole it were people I had been staying with for a while . Well lessons learned.

No accounting for how some people behave.  I'm thinking about a wood speed boat from the 50's like a Chris Craft. Lot's of the the real thing on the lake where I live.  Something like this http://www.hobbytown.com/Products/RCBoatDefault.aspx?ProdID=PRB2600 but, bigger and with my own raido, if I can find it.

And, speaking of water craft, I'm going to add floats to the Super Cub this year and maybe a couple others too. Might want to think about that for your J3 if you have water near by.

E.D.F xD

Try holding onto those things while hand launching.

Wow!  Great flying Nutt. You picked that up pretty quick imho. How did you do video, was that a  "Nuttcaze Cam"?
I thought you did a pretty good job keeping plane in frame while flying.

Making me anxious to get it out there now.  Thanks for sharing!

I have the camera screwed to the brim of a baseball cap. Something I saw on a forum somewhere, half way down this webpage you'll see my video of it.

http://mysite.verizon.net/bizwptdb/id16.html

when you see my other videos of it flying you'll see how bad of a job I did filming the first flight  Wink

Well it looks like nuttcaze picked the two best rainers for planes and helis. I have a super cub fronhobbyzone and a typhoon 2. I really like my super cub. I would take it off a little flat spot on my roof with a whole bunch of trees right in front of the "runway" and fly over my neighborhood. That was a whole lot of fun. The reaon I got into helicopters was because I wanted somethimg that I could fly close to me.Planes are a lot more relaxing though. *natural stability*

I love this Cub, I get the same happy feeling with it that I did from my first heli, the HBFP. I've had great success with both as my first plane/heli. Both were cheap $ and both work great. And they both can take a beating (haven't beat up the Cub that bad yet but I can tell its a tank)

Heliman, I've got some mods for the Super Cub if you're interested in additional performance. Make that additional fun. How do you like the Typhoon 2? I was thinking aboout that one myself. I know the guys at Hobby Zone pretty well.

19000. iliked my typhoon a lot. Plenty of power. In my prime I could hover it. I got tired of it and wanted to get amore authentic plane. The katana MD. That thing is sweet. I knew a guy who had one. The only thing I didn't like about the typhoon 2 is that it was very loud. All of the outrunner BLs are direct drive and the only noise is the propeller slicing the air. My favorite kind of planes are the scale ones. I was thinking about getting a scale EDF A-10 wathog for $90 from nitro planes after I brush up on my skills. Do any of you know anything about this plane. i will ask this in the EDF forum too. thanks.

That warthog is low end from what I hear, but for 90 bucks how big a mistake could it be? Do they have parts for it? Who cares, for that price buy 2. Not a bad place to start if you're still feeling your way into EDF the segment.

That's good to know about the Typhoon. How about some version of of an Edge 540? I think I'm going there for my first real 3D.

I have one scale plane right now; a Parkzone Spitfire. It's a 3ch.with ailerons and it is fun, except, it is a belly lander and if the landings are less than perfect... Sad  I had a Art-Tech F 18A, EDF, but lent it out and got a check in return. The F-18A flew great. Busted off a wing tank or two landing on rough grass and gorilla glued them back on. I plan on adding an F4U Phantom and a Mig 15 this year. Being an old guy they have some sentimental value...Did I mention I must buy a P51 and Sabre Jet too.  Grin
