Super-Tech brake parts cleaner is my personal favorite.  Just a little spray on and blow it off with the air compressor.  You can wipe it down with a cloth too, but usually the cleaner just dirt and whatever right off when blown off with air.  Have to be careful and use it sparingly though.  Too much will probably damage the parts.

WD-40 works well too.  Not quite as much of a punch as brake cleaner, but it gets the job done.

I will also occasionally use some billet polish on the pipe to keep the aluminum shiny and protected.  Same thing though.  If you polish too often or vigorously you will start taking the top layers of the metal off.

yes im going to have to go with break cleaner on this one guys, it works for almost everything that you need to clean, it gets stains outta coats,

neat trick if you've got grease or gas or oil stains on you coat, spray em down then wash em before the break cleaner dryies and it should come clean. dont through this into your nice new washer tho, do it at a buds house or something, but it works

Never tried using my Dremel for cleaning an RC.  Suppose it could work with a soft enough bit used.  Only thing that concerns me is that the bare minimum speed on my unit is 5,000 rpm.  Its not exactly cut out for delicate jobs.  Wouldn't want to scratch any aluminum.  Tongue
