I had the same problem with my new G2. It turned out to be a bad gyro. New gyro, problem solved. Good luck

make sure your tail gear pulley is till good. part #26 and most of the time ppl stripped this gear so tail doesn't spin fast enough.

Hi All.

I just noticed during the tutorial that my G2 never makes that initalization tone. Does that mean mean my gyro is not initalizing? I have had this heli for the past 3 weeks and it has never been more than 2-3 feet off the ground but thats because I was figting the controls and then noticed it was missing screws from the steering holder so I am awaiting parts.

If you have the basic version the motor doesn't make tones. Only brushless setup makes tones from the motor.

Would someone please post an exploded diagram of the G2/#36 here so we don't have to download the thing from walkera? Try as I might I can't get my computer to open that file every time I download it from there.
Thanks

Hello - great videos, thanks! I just received my G2 Raptor and my kids destroyed my owner's manual. Is there a way you can get a hold of one for me or help me get one? My email address is sommersof69@verizon.net.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
thanks,
Mark

Hello - can anyone help me? my G2 Raptor won't initialize with the transmitter. The red LED on the receiver just keeps flashing. I call Xheli.com tech support and just get to sit on hold forever and no one picks up.

Hey sommer it might be better to psot a new thread. A lot of people wont come looking in these old threads..

What version of the G2 do you have? The regular edition that uses a BRUSHED motor has a little red button you have to push when plugging in the battery..

Also before you turn anything on or plug the battery in, make sure the throttle (left stick) is all the way down. Same with the TRIM for the throttle. If the heli does not sense absolute 0 throttle it will not initialize. (saftey feature -- you dont want the baldes to start spinning and take your face off when you plug the battery in.)

If none of this works check the crystals in both the tx and rx. Are the numbers the same? pull them out and put them back in, make sure they are tight..

post a new thread if none of that works.
