Great videos!  I just bought my first Falcon and was shopping for the parts you recommended.  The price was the same for a complete Falcon 40.  Should I just buy another for the parts and extra stuff?

Thanks

I've been looking at this heli for about 2 weeks. I like the way it looks and I'm having trouble finding any smut about it...this Thread has really got me into the falcon as my very first. I've been doing pretty good with G4 using the Impala..

Question: Anyone know which G4 heli is close to the Falcon 40? I'd like to get some practice in as close to the real thing as possible.
thanks.

I want to buy a helicopter. I am a beginner with no flying experience however I do not want to get a simple one and get board quickly. I am thinking about purchasing a 4 channel bird like the Falcon 40 or equivilent. I stopped in a hobby shop and was told that I would have a touch time gaining reflex time to operate and advised the coaxial indoor bird. I have read other reviews that say that you will learn in a relatively short time and become bored quickly. Please advise.

I got bored with the coaxial in the Realflight G4 (which, yes, that's what I meant [above]) pretty quickly, yeah it might be fun to mess with one indoors on a windy and cold day like today, but it won't take you far at all, when you move up to a single rotor heli  you'll have to learn how to hover and the coaxials just sit there and hover by themselves from what i've seen....

...I don't have a heli yet ( I did however get the Super Cub plane...fun easy to fix, trees are bad news..) and don't know much about them, but this is what I can tell about them... hope it helps some.

buying your first heli will have alot to do with personal opinion. I started on a single rotor FP and as such always recommend it to others. I recently got a co-axial and was surprised how much of a deal people make over these. While they are fun, I did get bored of it very quickly and quite frankly think that if one is looking to fly single rotor helis then beginning on a co-axial is a waste of time, it won't teach you anything a sim won't and it sure as heck doesn't teach you anything about flying a single rotor heli, again thats just my opinion, over time you'll gain experience and form your own opinion about these things.

I always say get either the HoneyBee Fixed Pitch or Falcon 40, which ever is cheaper, xheli has sales on them all the time.

I just finished watching the video's for beginners and wished I had seen it sooner. I purchased my Falcon 40 from you and probably never got it off the floor more than 3 feet when I broke the landing skid and tried to glue it back together. Next I got to close to a table and paniced which caused the rotar head ring to brake. I tried to get replacement parts but the rotar head ring only seems to be availabe in the UK. It has been sitting on the top of a china cabinet for approximately 8 months. Possibably I can get some spare parts soon and learn to fly it safely.
Thanks again

Thanks for all the great videos and information Nuttcaze. It was very benificial in getting me started in Rc Heli's, which has now become a addiction of sorts. These were inspired by your paperclip tip! Thanks again.

Which website should I get a Falcon 40? And is there any other stuff that I should buy with the helicopter, like training gear batteries and what else, I am a beginner in helicopter.

On the two images above what are those pieces that you used instead of paperclips
