Please ignore previous post. I loaded FMS on my XP box and it works like a charm. Appreciate Nuttcazze's review of the setup, especially setting the control relationships. Sure beats reading Chinese documentation.

Now I have to wait for my decision on whether to return the FM model for the 2.4GHz one before I try using the real controller with FMS, followed by a decision on whether to get a more sophisticated simulator.

Thanks again for this very informative site.

OK, I rewatched some of the videos and put the 3Dradio controlled helicopter DLL into the FMS directory. That now allows me to control the heli onmy Vista box. But, I egt an anoying noise that I can't contro unless I shut it off. Worse is that I can display a heli but NO landscapes. So it's like flying the heli in space with no references. ANy ideas?

I spent closet to $210.00 on Flight Simulater 4.5

why are the flight sims' here on this board are only `$50.00  Huh??

is there a big difference?

I read somewhere that Flight Simulater 5.0 is coming out and I have to pay $80.00 for the upgrade.

is there a big difference in sim's here?Huh??

I've been told that FMS is free and a good starting point.  Where can I find it?  What do I need to make it work?

Thanks

FMS is a great "First" sim, it will help give you some basic intruction, if you download the additional models and sceneries it will make a HUGE difference but ultimately you will want to get something better, another good sim that isn't too much money is Clearview ($40) but FMS is more then enough to get you started.

HPFB... Thanks for the response.  Will I be able to connect the standard transmitter that comes with the BluRay 450 to a computer in order to use this sim?

Thanks.

Which sim kit should I get at this site:  http://www.xheli.com/e4chflsitrki.html
I just ordered a esky honey bee cp2 3d. I have never had a heli in the air. The site has 2 different sims a 4 channel and a 6 channel. Would I better off with the 6 channel that is $2.00 cheaper?

I have had the same issues as a lot of people that posted perviously. I have vista and loaded the FMS sim and I have no background. Just a flashing screen. When I turn off textures I can fly with the ground showing but no sky or other graphics. Has anyone figured this out and can take the time to help me?

It says D3Drm.dll is not loaded.

Can someone help me get it running?

So... can I use the USB cable that came with my Exceed TX (BluRay) to run FMS?  If not, what do I need?  I hate to have to buy a dummy TX - would be nice to learn on the one you are going to fly.

Thanks
