Exceed Eagle 50

my previous string vanished? So i will ask again.so the biggest milliamp battery to upgrade to in this bird is the 1200milliamp
i would like to go bigger for more flight time if any  one has flown safely with a milliamp battery bigger than the 1200
please advise. Its weard on my Blazing star with twin 370's more flight time than on this Eagle 50 with a single 370 motor
you would think you should have twice the flight time.Huh???  whats wrong with this picture.?
please advise

A higher, let's say, 1500 mAh battery, will probably weigh more a 1200 and that will effect both time, positive, and performance, negative, of the 50.

There are a few things to consider in comparing the BS flight time to the 50. The BS weighs about 200 grams less so it has a better power to weight ratio and that positively effects the flight time of the BS. The BS has a 1250 mAh battery whereas the 50 a 800 mAh battery. Lower mAh yeilds shorter flight times. That factor, along with a weight disadvantage produces shorter flight time for the 50.

Some other things that you might want to know: Hovering the 50 will run the battery down faster than maneuvering it. Conversely, maneuvering the BS draws more power than hovering it since the motor driving the lower rotors is also controlling yaw. Every time you move the rudder you are either increasing or decreasing current to the lower motor.

Happy landings

Never tried any other higher than 1200. That worked ok. The heli will problably "lift" the 1500 but how good it might fly? Someone else who has tried this could be of help on that. One thing I can speculate: A 1500 would surely effect 3D capability.

Happly landings

I used my 1500mAH battery from my G2 with no problems and the flight time was increased. I just had to make an adapter for the Rx.

The Exceed BS flys longer because it is lighter.

With the Exceed Eagle 50/Walkera #22E, I used an 11.1v 1,300Mah 15c LIPO and it fys for about 7-10 minutes.  I then used an 11.1v 1,000Mah 20c LIPO and it flew for about 7-10 minutes.  The weight becomes an issue. - So the optimal LIPO Battery would be around 1,000Mah.

Below is a video with a metal CNC Rotor head upgrade, Blade Upgrade, Super Skids 300, Super Skids Titanium tail boom, Super Grips, 3-amp ATO Fast Blow fuse, line filter, and an ON/OFF Switch for convenience.
