The glow plug you pick will be based on what nitro content you have.  What is your current nitro percentage?

A good guide can be found here:  http://www.scootworks.com/rdrc/gloplugs.html

Here is another good guide:  http://www.rc-truckncar-tuning.com/rc-glow-plug.html

I personally use a MC-8 with my 20% nitro content.  The MC-59 may be used as well, but with my .27 it ran a little smoother with the MC-8.

Shock cap position, oil weight, and pre-loads (or threaded shock bodies) can all affect ride height.

Sure, the Tectonic isn't as adjustable as other vehicles but it does a fair job.  Like the previous post you can adjust the preload, shock oil weight, etc.  You can also adjust the shock angle using the top and bottom mounts.  For me I'm not so worried about ride height but rather stability and ability to handle rough terrain.  These 2 web sites do a nice job of explaining it:

http://www.rc-truckncar-tuning.com/Shock-angle.html
http://www.rc-truckncar-tuning.com/spring-preload.html

Remember, when you change your tires you'll have to go through the above all over again.

Black C shaped clip you put over the shock body.  You push the spring down while you put it on so it creates more pressure.  In a way lengthens the shock cap.

Here, a picture is worth a 1000 words.  More than I can say:

Play around with preload, the plastic caps are good to make sure things are even all around.  You can also loosen the screw and adjust the preload with the plastic caps.

I find I need more preload in the front because of the weight of the suspension and extra binding from suspension than I do in the rear.

so what does preload accually do other then a ride hight?

there doesn't seem to be much play for moving the shocks on the bottom of the tectonic, or are you not suppose to adjust the bottom?
