Hi,

I am modifing a kayak to accept remote signals for staring and movement.  My question is:  Does the receiver and transmitter need to be a matching pair.  For example: If I get a receiver that is stated 72MHz how does the transmitter know the frequency?

Thanks,
Kayak Man

you remote (TX) and receiver (RX) uses crystals and they come in pair. A matching set of crystals will communicate with each other.

I ordered a replacement ESC from here (order number - yhst-14197398381157-24326) for my sons Exceed Sunfire 1/10. When I put it in I have forward and backwards, but the steering has lost it's mind. Using the throttle is fine, no weird behavior, but if you attempt to steer the front wheels barely turn and the car behaves as if the throttle were pressed. I reverted back to the old ESC to make sure the car hadn't gone crazy, and it steers fine and throttle still works for reverse only which is why I am replacing it.

Is the new ESC faulty, or am I missing something here??

Thanks
John..

If you interhchange the connection on the trottle and steering do you see the same behavior? If not then it's receiver problem. Let me know

Make sure the throttle and throttle trim are bottomed out before you turn anything on. All other trims should be centered Cheesy..........................BRM

OK, sorry, you lost me here. What servo are we talking about because steering is perfectly fine with the original ESC, I just have throttle problems.
