OK so my exceed electric starter gears stripped out a few days ago. i have the kit on a 1/8 scale mad beast. i was wondering where i could get replacement gears. i cant find anywhere that has any kind of replacement parts for the kit.

for any one thinking about getting this kit for the mad beast the starter doesn't have the power to start the engine. great kit though as long as you buy Black and Decker's upgrade the cordless drill lol

I think the kit comes with an exploded view of all the parts available for it. It should be listed in there. I don't know if I still have mine but I can check.

yeah i don't have it anymore. i called the tech rep and he told me it wouldn't fit my mad beast. lol i made it fit and work fine though. apparently I'm the newbie prodigy of RC cars lol. he told me i would have to buy the whole kit again to and spend $50 or however much it is just for $2 worth of gears. not worth it!

Who told you it doesnt fit? The electric starter fits in the mad beast.... We also threw a 7.4v battery in the electric starter and it worked well until some smart guy accidentally gave it away to one of our customers.

I actually called to ask a tech rep about it, like I said though I had no trouble getting it to fit. As for replacing the gear if anyone else has this issue, HPI's auto start has a big block gear that is almost exactly the same and fits perfect. Just the gear though the back plate of course is completely different. Regardless it beats buying the whole e-start system again, just for one little gear. What you said about the larger battery, the guy I got the gear from today told me that might have been the case. Oh well; it gave me an excuse to buy a drill. I wanted one any ways lol.
So when I go to any hobby story I always get mad rc helicopters for life talked on my Mad Beast because it's an Exceed product. I haven't had any problems with my truck, what am I the only one because they seem have a bad rep. lol

Yeah you need to get creative with your spelling if you want some words to show.

LHS will bag on it, because it takes away from their business..

Although your car is worth what you paid for it, the quality doesn't really compare to a traxxas or HPI or other name brand.

BUT WORTH THE MONEY YOU PAID FOR SURE.

That's the one I have. I ended up with blisters from the pull start. Now it starts up fast. Downside is that you will end up having to replace the gears.
