Hello Everyone,

I'm new to the Nitro Car World. Have spent my time looking at Vids and Reading Instruct Manual.

Just got my car yesterday. I'm priming my engine and am having a weird problem. It seems that while the car is idling, it's dumping half of the fuel out of the exhaust.

I'm using a CEN NX-15 Big Block Lighting Engine with the Primer still attached. The car will start up after a few pulls. After the first round of re-starting due to stalling, it ran through the 2d and 3rd tank fulls without a hitch, but it went thru them in less than 7 - 10 minutes. (that can't be normal, can it?) And there was fuel all over the table and floor as I could see it coming out of the exhaust.

Is this just a priming problem or is there something wrong? I haven't made any adjustments and have started the prime process right out of the box.

Any help would be appreciated.

Now sure about the oil percentage, but it's a 20% Custom Nitro Blend. Product Name is S & W Car Fuel. (for cars only!)

10% synthetic, 3% castor oil, seems fine with me.

try tuning it EXTREMELY lean.

idk if this will work, IT MIGHT RUIN YOUR CAR, but that is what i would do.

You should really ask an expirt, take it to a hobby shop.

just for the record, not my fault if that ruins your engine, GOOD LUCK!!!

This is not that uncommon for new motors.  It is going to spit out some oil because the engine hasn't broken in yet and is allowing some to pass through the exhaust.  DO NOT LEAN IT OUT TOO MUCH!  Lean the Low Speed Needle out just enough to get heat into the motor, about 200 degrees for break in.

Thanks everyone. I've been reading some of the other forums and seems I'm not the only one with this problem. All answers seem to point to what you are saying. To rich and needs to be a little leaner. I'm going to read up a little more because I'm DEFINITELY no expert in adjusting fuel flow.
Any good books that might help?
