I HEARD YOU HAVE TO SECURE YOUR SCREWS IN A NITRO CAR WITH THREADLOCK OR LOCTITE. I WAS WONDERING IF INSTEAD OF USING THREADLOCK OR LOCTITE, I COULD JUST USE 100% SILICONE? WOULD IT HOLD UP? I KNOW IT IS EXTREMELY HEAT RESISTANT. WOULD IT COME OFF EASILY? IS DOING THIS EVEN NECCESSARY?(I THINK SO)

               THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!!

You can either use thread lock or check everything after every run.

I don't think silicone will work. Thread lock is anaerobic, meaning it hardens in the absence of air. The silicone, if we're thinking about the same stuff, will most likely never harden unless you let it sit for a very long time.

Go down to your local motorcycle shop and get some air filter oil.  The vegetable oil would work, but the other oil is much sticker and is usually colored so you can see how thick/thin it is throughout.  You don't need a ton, but a nice even coverage will work.

The Blue is considered removable and the Red is considered permanent.  I personally have never noticed a difference on the RC scale size of bolts and screws.  A little dab will do, you don't need to coat all the threads.  I usually get just a little on the first thread or two.

A little bit of blue loctite goes a long way. Dont put too much. Loctite is crucial for the motor mount screws. No loctite there is a recipe for super fun spur gear strippage.
