balloon

i just put a balloon around my receiver and it really works.  i have driven it through water and its still running. (i have the dynamite.)  one question sometimes when i run it it just all of a sudden stops. and i have to turn the car off and press down on the wires and crystal in the balloon. then it works again. i don't want to have to do this every time i run it. is there any way to fix this or does any one know what is causing it. it doesn't happen all the time but sometimes.
