This is a 22#E Helicopter Christmas gift that hasn't worked yet. It is out of the box and all charged up including controller and I can't seem to get the motor to work.  Either it is a faulty motor or the controller isn't communicating with the helicopter. Can anyone please help?  I have a 12 yr old son who is desperate to enjoy his gift.

1- that 22e is going to be tough for a 12 year old - or anyone for that matter to learn on.
2- Make sure the throttle and throttle trim are ALL the way down and the tx is turned on BEFORE turnign on the heli. If the heli does not detect absolute 0 throttle from the tx it will not arm the motor. (saftey feature so you don't cut your face off.)

Thank you so much for the reply.  What is a "tx".  I read the part about the trim.  Is there an on/off switch on the helicopter itself?  I couldn't find one.  I thought that the problem might have been that perhaps the controller was not synched with the helicopter on the same frequency.

Do you recommend another model for him to learn on?  We really want to get into this but there is zero cusomer support at XHeli.  If you can, please call me toll free (866-622-0916)

Thanks again,

Kurt

Tx = transmitter - the 'controller'
If this is his very first heli a Coax will be by far the easiest to fly. They just are no good in the wind.

Coax - the kind with two counter-roatating baldes on top are infinitly more stable.

Im not saying he won't be able to learn on the eagle/22e but it is a hard bird to fly for even more exp. pilots. It is very nimble and sensitive to stick inputs.

Be prepared to buy lots of blades and what not...

If you want to stick with the 22e have him spend a bunch of time on the sim.
