My son has an Exceed RC Sunfire brushed buggy less than a month old. I've already had to replace a couple of broken parts.

Most recently I had to re-solder the electrolytic capacitor back onto the ESC where the battery leads are.

As of right now it won't go forward, but reverse works perfectly.

Has the ESC already gone bad?

That would be my guess, first clue was

"Most recently I had to re-solder the electrolytic capacitor back onto the ESC where the battery leads are."

That is bad, not being a smart ass, just lettin ya know. If you can upgrade to brushless, it'll be much more durable in the future, well the motor/esc will. then he can really break it cause it runs so long Wink
