Huh?   I thought my Slash came with a "brushless ready" trans, with some steel gears inside. It's a 1/10 2WD, 550-12T motor, and all of a sudden I've got a noise inside like gear trouble. The spur gear wobbles a little and has some up and down play. I like running it more than fixing it. Any ideas what I'll find when I tear into it ?  Thnx

If the SPUR gear wobbles up and down you either have a bad bearing or are missing the bearing.

the wobble in the spur gear is usaull for these gears, other than that i don't know what to say.

The spur gear should not wobble at all, otherwise you could never set the gear mesh right. I would second the opinion that you have a bad bearing. Should be very obvious when you take it apart.

if it's mlike my 4x4 slash its easy as crap. Take the 2 screws out of the top 2 out of the bottom and the whole backend will slide right off. On my 4x4 slash there is a bearing resting in the back end. (or maybe it got stuck on your drive shaft.)

Smiley  I think I missed the bullet, I took a close look at the gears and saw embeded grit. Maybe I need a better gear cover. Cleaned and debured both gears and it seems OK for now. Again thanks for your input.
