DX6i is a Spektrum radio transmitter. 6 channels,,perfect for heli and planes. You can program and fly 10 different helis/planes on it. It is a 'computer' radio allowing you to customize your heli,,,,sub-trims,,,pitch and throttle curves. It is VERY nice for this hobby.

The big brother to the DX6i is the DX7,,,7 channels,,,20 models.

That was me that asked about the DX6i.
The guy PM'd me and said he'd include the 6i for $100.
I don't know what kind of trade you're working on but the B400 w/ DX6i is a good way to get into the hobby.

hes gonna ship out his heli to me. he said the heli is RTF. he going to give me 3 three batteries 2 other pairs of blades a charger and stuff. i think he said it was still new in the box or he said everything is already in the box.

either way i think im making out ok. the only thing he said i have to do it program the servos to the transmitter, i think. so hopefully it wont be that big of a problem.

Hey 'dood, good decision, I think. You're going to want to fly out doors and the b400 is the way to go. You can really dumb it down for learning by changing the expo settings on the DX6i tx. Start out slow and it won't cost you much in crashes. I started on an e-flight blade cp pro. What a mistake!! Although when you go from that to something bigger you certainly appreciate the 400. Also with the belt driven tail you don't have to change the tail motors every 50 flights or so.
Good choice.

Thanks. I hope i did make a good decision. This GAUI has been a handful. I bet all you guys we're wondering how long it was going to take for me to give up. I hope someone won a lot of money.

Anyhoo, I pretty sure i got in over my head to fast. If i had started out on something less difficult and next time read more into what im buying i wont have a problem.

Hopefully this guy from Cali follows through and i get the blade as promised without broken pieces or two blade just shoved into a pile of poo. Who knows.

Im crossing my fingers. Stay tuned for my next challenge: Getting the blade ready to go and fly.

Once the Blade SR RTF get here, does anyone know if the transmitter that comes with it will work with the blade 400?

I guess thats what the nice electronic ones are for you can have several types of heli programmed into them.

It will but why?
Didn't you get a DX6i with the B400?
The DX6i is a way better radio and can be programmed to be the same as the radio with the SR.
It will also store the settings for 10 different models.
The SR stock radio works with only one model and would need rebound every time you switch helis.

He was going to, but he has too many other helis programmed into it. So ill just have to use the one i bought for the GAUI. Im sure i can find a DX6i on  or something. They are nice looking.

for those of you who who have been following this thread since i started it, i finally got the blade 400 from that guy i traded my GAUI with. Its a pretty sweet set up. Carbon fiber blades and tail rotors. Three batteries, and some extra screws.

Im happy. As nice at it would have been to complete the GAUI, i dont regret trading helis at all. This 400 was a lot bigger than i was expecting.

Hey Dood, Nice heli. You said you're just learning? If I were you, I'd take off those CF blades and learn with some cheap ones. X-heli has some composite blades for like 3 bucks a set that can handle some smack-downs and are good for learning on.
Simulator is good to learn on too, but not the same. I use both. Take it easy and it won't cost you much to learn hover and forward flight.

The symbolism is dead on,,,,an RC heli setting in front of a stack a bills,,,LOL!!!

Nice heli Dood,,,,put some training gear on it. And yes,,as mentioned,,,get some cheaper FG main blades until you get some experience. Those Align blades are top-of-line,,you don't want to trash them while you are learning!!

The guy gave me a pair of composite blades i think along with the ones that are on there now. Supposedly the Blade SR's should have been released yesterday so im going to learn that first before i start with the blade 400.

im looking forward to the 400 though, it a big moster compared to the GAUI hurricane. Is im using my own Rx and Tx for the blade 400, is there something special i have to do to get the Tx and the Rx working the servos correctly?
