Hello everyone, first I would like to add that this would be my first "real" RC, lol. I was thinking of purchasing this
http://www.nitrorcx.com/rtr-electric-on-road-drift-car-.html would this be recommended? and also would like to know since I like to build things, would it be cost-effective to buy a kit of it instead if possible?

Another question, LOL my father was asking me to find out if I could find a 57' Chevy Body for this just for sh*ts and giggles, and if at all, any body. Granted, using my brain I would assume any 1/10 body... however I don't know about the pin setup, soo.

Thanks for the help, and more then likely I'll go with this RC unless majority say that it isn't a good setup... =]

EDIT: woops, meant to mention that, ontop of that, I wouldn't know anything about hte parts of an RC to my a$$, another reason I feel better maybe buying a kit to learn.

Just found this... anyone know if this would fit the rc I mentioned in the above post...

Drift star is a good car. I own a madspeed and like it alot.

The body you are looking at should fit. I would call parma and ask about the wheelbase for that body though.  That is the only problem I have seen when replacing a car body is the wheelbase being too long or short.

For the most part any 200mm body will fit.

Have fun

Awesome, thanks for the quick reply, I'll definitely give them a call tomorrow and check that out. Is there a Madspeed kit... just wondering, still curious about cost effect, and I feel by assembling my own RC I will know it better.

No kit version. But if you stay in this hobby you will get plenty of oppurtunity to repair, modify and upgrade  . plus they come with everything to get you going.

Cost effect ready to run cars is better.

LOL, all part of the hobby, you could take it to your local hobby shop and maybe get someone to paint and trim for you. But most bodies will have to be painted.

the 57 chevy body in an above post, the description mentioned that it's a 3 piece, front, then the mid to back and then the bumper

What would I call the MADSPEED rc without the body, just madspeed, LOL

Trying to learn some lingo.

thats what i call mine  Wink

It is a relativly new release so you proably wont get any help from aftermarket companies or local hobby shops about bodies or parts. You will just need to know the wheelbase of any bodies you want to buy.
