The early snow in NY puts an end to my flying for the winter, I have a fully charged 11.1 20c 1800ma Li-Po in my heli. I remember reading that it is not good to store a Li-Po fully charged but I don’t have a charger that sets the Li-Po to storage voltage, I only have the charger that esky gives you with the belt cp v2 what should I do?

How long do you fly before the ESC hits LVC (Low Voltage Cutoff)?  Cut that time in half, hover for that amount of time, and pack up the LiPo's.

It's worth investing in a battery tester,,,you can find them most everywhere for about $6,,I've seen them for as little as $2.89 at deal xtreme.
Lipos have a tendency to fluctuate voltages by temperature because they are a chemical reactive battery. Each cell is empty at 3 volts and full at 4.2 volts. The nominal voltages for storage is 3.8 volts per cell so when the voltages fluctuate it won't self-overcharge or drain.

Lipo cell will loose its capacity if store fully charged at ~ 4.2v, best practice is storage at ~3.8V in a cool dry place.  you can use a simple and cheap DVM to check the cell voltage.  When you use the pack after a few months storage, charge them up and discharge them easy say ~50% during the first few cycles, that is fly half your regular flight time to condition the pack.

Great question

if your answering me, i want to know how long is considered storing your batteries. I understand the way to get the batteries into that state. If i am not going to fly for a month, is that considered needing to put the battery into this storage state? If i'm not gonna use it a year, i understand

I have let some small 3s 450 mah batts i use on my foamies sit for 3 months now. I went to use one the other day so i put it on the charger. The battery had discharged to 3.8 volts a cell, i found that interesting cause i garuntee i charged it full when i left it

They say cool place for storage long term. Cells dropping charge is definately not a good thing, but the house/batteries could have been warmer when you tested voltage. They say v increases or decreases with temp changes!

i put the letter (H) on one side of the battery - that side is up - charged and ready for use - if i do not use them for two weeks i put them back in the storage mode = VIC

I bought this charger a couple months ago and it will charge or discharge the batteries to the proper "storage voltage". Just plug it in, select the battery type (2s,3s,4s etc.) select storage mode and hit start. This charger has been very reliable for me so far and does alot more than any other I've ever owned. Never even got warm enough to be concerned about.

Hahaha...My lipo storage is well thought out.
I just snapped these to show ya.lol....

The voltages are all whatever they were when I took'm off the charger.
Except the trucks.A lipo will run HOURS on them so I never know where they are.lol...
