hello, i recently bought the F4u RTF. I put it together fine and i tested everything to make sure it all worked. Then later in the day i go to turn it on. Nothing is working. The motor wont turn on, nothing will move. Any idea why this is happening

It sounds from your post like you never unhooked the battery between when it worked and didn't work? If this is the case, you killed the battery. They should only be plugged in when being used. Any switch would only turn the radio on or off, not the motor. if this is a lipo battery, you really don't want to do that.

well when i first attached the battery it all worked fine. Im Pretty sure i detached the battery after i was done. Does it matter if you hook up the battery first then turn on the controller, can that cause damage.

When i insert the battery now it makes a noise, so i think that battery is working. i feel like its not getting a signal.

When i was having trouble inserting the controller into the receiver, is it possible to damage the controller, and not allow it to send out a signal?

no that would not cause damage by turning the plane on first. It's just dangerous if it were to start up off with no TX on yet.

If this has a lipo battery and if the battery is low on juice, you will get servos to work, but not the motor.

If you can't get it to work, go down to the nitroplanes support if you bought it there and let Andy give you a hand. He is pretty good about taking care of stuff, but give him till the evening and be patient

It is possible that you might have bent one of the three prongs inside the receiver. Pull the controller wire back out and make sure there are three connectors then push it back in. Sometimes the plastic part of the connector can be just a little big and that makes it hard to push in and out. If you see some damage you would need a new receiver or get out the micro screw drivers and a tiny tip solder iron and get it back on.
