also is this a steering servo. is there a diff between the two servos. if this is completely junk then wht r sum good ones 4 under $20?

Hate to burst your bubble, but I wouldn't consider any $20 or less servo to be good.  I'd say the HS-645MG would be the bare minimum for $35.

have to agree  645 mg bb is a great servo old but still a beast Cheesy  some servos can be grabbed for 20 bucks but most suck  doosers hitec basically are the best servos out there period  get a servo with metal gears  and your ok  steering 645 mg bb throttle 625 or 610 mg bb if you can find one 80 oz of torque with a .15 transit
