Hello RCX Team,
I received my Monster Truck according to the deadline and was very excited to run it when I had my first contact with this beautiful product.
I have bought the fuel and other stuffs as thermometer and other products to clean and protect the engine and yesterday I had a chance to run it.
I was a very bad experience, although I have carefully read the manual, during my excitement to run the truck,  I didn't realize that my remote control was in a reverse position.
So, after crank for some time it started in a very high revolution and when I placed on the floor I lost the control and it crashed in a pole.
It had several damages in the front and rear suspension, also the rear drive shaft is bent.
I already tear it down and have the necessary parts to fix it described but before place the order I would really appreciate if your team could take a look in the presentation below and let me know, based on that, if any order parts are necessary to be replaced regarding engine / brake /clutch.
I an very concerned my engine was overheated. It is still crank but I haven't had a chance to make it work again.

i had the same problem with my new truck but luckily i was able to keep it in my hands. i wouldn't think that anything would be wrong with the engine. these little engines are very tough. i would just fix the noticeable things and then try to start it again. if the engine does not sound right or doesn't even want to start then i would recommend either sending back to the company to have them look at it or simply take it to a hobby shop. hope you get this figured out. Happy Rcing!!!

that sucks big time but i agree with TB i would fix what you know is broken and try the kit again.. if  it dosent want to start or something doesn't seem right stop and have a look. you could also tear the engine down and have a look inside they come right apart and its not to hard  i have had mine apart just to see all the parts and how it works. hope that helps out. let us know how you make out and post some pics.

pull the truck apart go over it real good.. order the aluminum parts for the race edition  (it will save you broken parts later)

i have broken a few parts on my madstorm and madfire ( but when you run under moving car tires and hit bricks at 40 mph lol ) ... i have both in the LE not the race edition but as the parts break im going to the  "RE" aluminum replacements

always check your radio to make sure it works right before you start your car.. i know that comes a little late but you should always do it to be safe.. those trucks are between 9 and 12 pounds and at 40+ mph someone could get hurt

your truck looks bad but the parts are cheap ... my madfire got ran over by a car / minivan .. i thought i was going to need a new car .. it was 36 bucks for the parts shipped

there is 1 other thing.. the tires on the madstorm are a little big around 7 inches tall.. i put the truggy tires on my madstorm about 5 3/4 inches tall and it flys now Wink
it takes a lot of the load off the motor

ya i would say just order all of the parts and get the whole thing back together. try cleaning that part on the engine it might just be dirt, although the brakes idk. just try starting it back up and listen to how it sounds. if it sound good then it is probably good. but i would also oil the whole thing the night b4 u start it up.

it didnt run long enough to hurt the clutch
and the brakes are green when you get the car/truck.. they should be fine

just replace the broken parts and you should be ok

i also agree that's not anything to worry about. just work on any broken parts that you see right now and get the kit back together to start with. once you have it back together take your time and make sure your electronics are working .  and always turn your controller/ transmitter on first and before starting the kit check the servos. then start the kit.  i would also recommend getting a fail safe for the kit it will save you from this happening again. i know it sucks right now but take your time and get to know your kit. half the fun of the hobby for me is puling it apart and self learning. as long as your not rushing over torquing screws and you will be fine there made to came apart have fun with it. hope that helps

Hello Guys, I really appreciate your help, I am really enjoying this hobby and all support from your side. I will place the order tomorrow and I hope on the other weekend tell how it was. I have just another question, I am thinking to buy a 0.28 engine, my is 0.21. In this case, any other parts need to be replaced?
Thanks,

That`s great your enjoying this hobby. Grin Nope I don`t think you need to change anything besides the clutch to put in a .28 engine.
