I'm actually going to go with buying a Traxxas Nitro Stampede monster truck instead.  But, you still can help me.  Let's say I get it, and it breaks.  What is the best hobby store to buy from that won't give you a lot of bs if I call them asking for a refund if the truck breaks prematurely?

Can't go wrong with Tower!  Excellent customer service, good prices.

Couldn't be nicer people when you talk to them on the phone about problems.  The main things you deal with  them for are generally order/payment issues though.  For the most part, defects in RCs (and many RC products) are generally dealt with directly through the manufacturer, and not the distributor your bought the product from.  Once the factory seal is broken, its not the seller's problem.  For example, I bought a Hitec servo that cooked after only like 3 uses, so I had to send it directly to Hitec and they were the ones who fixed it and sent it back for free under warranty.

Yeah Towerhobbies is great. My Savage shipping was about $30 after you buy that $10 account thing, and on Amainhobbies shipping was $55!

Yeah Tower always has coupon codes for money off.  I get them via e-mail.  The current one I know of is 5936N.  That gets $10 off any order that is over $50.  Valid until 11/26

Ok, I buy from Tower.  I'm actually not buying it, I'm gonna try to talk my parents into buying it for me for getting good grades after my school semester is over this January.  Grin

I dont like it,
It seems like it would be too slow to have fun with. Just my Opinion tho.
Also when you see prices on RC cars make sure to look at what it comes with..
Radio?,Motor?,Battery? Etc...

Try looking at Traxxas Trucks T-Max or Stampede RC10 to RC18 since your looking at trucks
A buddy of mine has 2 Traxxas Trucks and they are bad, and move !
They are not hard to work on i have rebuilt the rear differential on one of his trucks and installed upgraded aluminum parts as well.

the mad crawler is worth the money and if you lower it put on some new tires and reset the shock height it will keep up with the pricey crawlers with a better charger youll get 20 min. + of run time

You will love that traxxas.

Your hobby store will not warranty it though. You have to send it back to traxxas.
Traxxas offers 30 day warranty. I have never had to, but I hear outside of the warranty period you can send the defective part back and they only charge 15bux for a replacement. I know they do it for their escs..

I agree with chris.7935 totally.  The Traxxas Stampede is one tough little truck.  I bash the crap out of that thing and it just keeps going.  I may break a gear every once and a while, or a shell if I'm really out of control.
