Mini FPV Camera

First please make sure the Switch (Record vs Video) is on VIDEO. This swtich is More like a HOLD button on a CD player. When its on RECORD, the device is locked down.

The switch (ON vs OFF) should ALWAYS be set to OFF when you are charging and plugged into the USB wire.

First Time Use/Start up:

You will need to Format the Mini SD Memory Card for First time users. Switch to OFF, plug Camera to USB wire.
Once Plugged, you computer should recognize this device.

From 'My computer' or 'Computer' you will need to locate this "Removeable Storage Device", Please make sure that you have selected the Drive for the Mini FPV Camera.

Please 'Right Click' the Drive, a Menu will appear. Select 'Format', Under 'File System' Must Select 'FAT32', check 'Quick Format', and finally hit the 'Start' button.

Once the Format is complete then you will be ready to Record or take Pictures with your Mini FPV Camera.

Take Pictures/Record:

Turn Camera to 'ON' position.
Press down 'Circle/Square' button once, Red Light will blink, Picture will be taken.
Press down & hold for 3 seconds 'Circle/Square' button, Blue light will Blink, Camera is Recording. Hit the button again to turn off blinking Blue light.

To get to your saved data, you will need to plug the camera USB wire, locate that Drive on you 'Computer' and Open that drive like you would a 'Folder'.
Inside the drive there should be a Folder containing all your saved Data.

Are you descibing a differant version of the 18g?

I just purchesed one first week of Oct. when connected as you descibe, it does not appear on the computer ( Vista sp2 ).

Changeing the power switch to on, then  the device appears.

Also has anyone had one of these and had it last more than 6 weeks?
am i doing something wrong with it? it is a simple little device.

Ordered mine 10/6 got it a week later and now last week it appears to have died.

All i get for video's is a grainy yellow AVI file, totally unviewable, have to admit that at first, it worked like a charm only for 5 1/2 weeks..

this piece of crap camera will not let me format the mini sd card and it will not record video longer than about 10 seconds. the video freezes but the audio continues, an NO it is not a codec problem with my pc. Also, i am not able to format this card through windows. it goes through the process but then tells me that it canot format. the first 4 pics and video i took also will not delete from the card. it sounds like maybe a bad sd card?

Hi,

I purchased one of these cameras in July.  I crashed my plan hard enough that it warped the camera housing.  It still worked.  I then washed it in the washing machine.  It was laying in the bottom of the tub when I removed the clothes.  I took it apart(removed the 8 micro screws), heated the oven to about 200 deg, laid it on a towel in the oven and left it for about an hour.  When I removed it and put it back together it worked fine.  On Black Friday I purchased 5 more at $27 each.  Three were good and 2 will not complete a charge cycle by turning the red charge light off. Customer support has issued me a RMA to exchange.   These are great little cameras and I am happy.  Just keep in mind they are mass produced and there can be problems.

Hi,

One thing not covered in the instructions is how to set the time and date.  Can someone please instruct how this is done?
