I'll start to post some EXI 250 videos.
Here's one:
Unfortunatly, only a couple minutes as the darn camera battery died.

Very nicely done.
I have been considering 3S on the Razor 250.
800mAh huh?
It also has only a 15 amp ESC so I'm leary.

what pinion and Kv motor is in there you think?
You may have to down the pinion.

I took my Gaui EP100 and put a 3S in it w/o any mods at one point and the headspeed was way too high. I did not re-pinion it but I may do that in the comming weeks/months.

The EXI 250 is able to do stuff I could not do on the Gaui so I have not touched it for a while.

If the ESC can handle 3S then w/ a 3S battery you should be able to get the same power out of less current. So long as your high current usage is intermittant, I'd think it would be ok (hahahaha.... I think).

the higher voltage will use less amps assuming you could match the same head speed.

Good flying dditch. You have it figured out

good way to get er done, but you might have to give up $30 for a 20 amp to keep from shutting down. You said your good at autos didn't ya  Grin

I've only had a bad experiance with one motor. Had a 300 exceed on a 6 oz foam plane with a 8" prop, got it going up, motor cut out it stalled and flipped right over and nosed into the ground. It was ugly. The 15 amp esc cut off due to overloading about 5 seconds after i hit the throttle. Somehting like your dealing with will be at maximum load if it did go out and that wouldn't be pretty

I don't think you can auto a 250.lol....

I'll prolly just use an ESC I have here.
Got a 35 amp.I don't think there's a weight issue if I use 3S.

Yeah Ernie, I don't have the skill and knowledge you guys have, but I say go for it. I took that 3s batt you sent
me with the G2 and put it in my old Ikaraus.  This thing came with a 8.4 nicad batt. What a difference. I guess with the increased head speed it became much more stable which was a major asset to me! Even though this is a fp heli I think it is about the same size as a 250, maybe a tad bigger.
