I'm not really sure what the problem is.  But I do know that my friend and I both ordered Sunfire's in the past week.  Neither of them work.  They were the "ready to run" variety Sunfire's.

Exceed.....do you even test run your products before you ship them?  What a waste of money and time.  I don't care if it's the battery, receiver, etc.  If you don't test them prior to being shipped....you are a very irresponsible company.

You advertise that you have a great brushless product.  That may be true.  But apparently...it's only on the one's that actually run!!

Mine was an absolute piece of crap.  It started out sputtering....and ended up not even sputtering.  My friend's....only went forward...not in reverse.

Someone needs to explain....or take the product off the market...it's that bad...or at least my friend's and mine were.

Don't know whats wrong with your product but on thier site it says they test run it before shipping. I'm guessing that had some lazy workers that day and they didn't test it

your first mistake was that you bought from exceed, the most gayest company in the world. buy a name brand like traxxas, hpi, losi and you'll be happy.

uh they don't have metal body's all of them are called lexan. a metal body would bend and weigh too much and leXAN IS FLEXIBLE AND DURABLE. soryy for caps lock.

you might want to try troubleshooting a bit more. i am sure you can get it to work! if not see if you have a warranty and return it. i wouldn't buy the exceed cars either. try a Tamiya kit, they are fun to put together and even better to run.

Well, it's up and running.  A couple of things.  The antenna was very difficult to get through the tube supplied for it.  I had to cut it.  It was probably too short.  And I was charging NiCd batteries as lipo.  So my sincere apologies to Exceed.

Now, let me tell you guys...this thing's for freakin real!!  It is faster than I had even imagined.  This car is no joke!!

...The antenna was very difficult to get through the tube supplied for it.  I had to cut it...

The length of the receiver antenna wire is not a trivial thing. It's determined by the frequency it's supposed to receive, so if your range for the radio is not what you expect this one's your fault.

The only thing I can say about charging NiMH as LiPo is you're lucky you didn't charge a LiPo as a NiMH...

Live and learn...

the length of the wire  is a determining thing too, if the wire is cut, knincked or whatever it most likley needs replacing because the wire is tuned top the receiver and how it receives the signal and how far the range is so if the wire is damaged replace it with a futaba 500mm wire from www.towerhobbies.com

i like exceed , i hate traxxas more issues with my old t maxx then my exceed  hmm ? now let me see, did you actually cut the receiver antenna wire itself or the tube ? i hope not the wire , if you did your in for a ton of glitches / short range  servos twitching the works  sun fire is a pretty decent car just dont expect to ramp a car and have it live through it
megatech is pretty good but not great, traxxas , some of there cars are good  some are not like many companies but who forgets to shim a t maxx diff ?? honestly  then you gotta buy it separately , now this is an older version but still point is many companies screw up trx isn't perfect

outdated designs on there cars is annoying  , make something someone can actually race
not to mention there  4wd slash , really ? 4hundred bucks just for the same slash only 4wd, losi is good but  ball diffs need to be put to bed  , released in the mid 80s the ball diff is weak  and just not suitable for todays motors , best car to get from exceed are the mad series cars Cheesy  great , big , fast , strong , cheap  the way this hobby needs to be
