Hi,
I’m hoping to find a charger/balancer for lipo batteries with a an auto cutoff when the battery is fully charged. Kind of like the negative delta V cutoff you find on nimh smart chargers.

Does this exist?

I believe ALL LiPo chargers (except wall-wart types) do this.  I've never even had an RTF LiPo charger that doesn't auto-cut off.

Any of the aftermarket computerized ones should do this.

Thanks for the quick reply shizack.

So if most lipo changers will do, let's say i use the Sky Charger B6AC,

Would i be ok to let this charger unattended for long periods, like all night long?

I'm looking for something i can use without worrying about overcharge damage and/or fire...

Technically, yes you could, but Rule #1 of LiPo charging is:

"Never leave batteries charging unattended."

Way too much stuff can go wrong.  LiPos burn at over 1000 degrees Fahrenheit and could easily take your house, neighborhood, and life with them.

No matter if you have a $10 charger or a $400 charger you should NEVER leave LiPos charging unattended.

when i talked to hobbyparts.com that offers both ther Sky and Thunder chargers she recommended the Thunder charger over the Sky charger - said there was a bigger name company behind it..i bought one and it has been perfect..and it shuts down the charging process when full...but as stated above i wouldn't leave it overnight...you have to Watch LiPo's...
