Expo in a straight curve makes a "C".

Expo also doesn't really change the pitch curve.Only the speed the servo will get to it.

wrong,,,,beings the neutral(center) point of the pitch range is 50% and the lower half is negative,,,,expo on a pitch curve would indeed be an "S" curve. If you think about it,,,setting a "S" curve for pitch is the same as adding expo. Symantics!

OK,,,,expo makes the center of stick travel faster or slower,,,ie.  stick 0% to 25% AND 75% to 100% will be faster or slower than 25% to 75%. That would be a "C" curve.
If you apply a "C" curve(positive expo) to a pitch curve,,,,then 0% to 25% would be a gradual change in pitch and 75% to 100% would be a fast change in pitch. Thats because 50% is a neutral point and everything below 50% is inverse to anything above 50%.

For a pitch curve to "act" like expo,,,it has to be an "S" curve.

Ya pick'n up what I'm throw'n down Ernie?? I'm not trying to be demeaning,,,just trying to prove a point,,,if I'm wrong,,,help me!!

I just don't see what an "S" curve in pitch would do other than give you an uncontrollable spot in the middle.
The spot from the highest of the low to the lowest of the high would be completely unresponsive

Thats assuming that the center of the "S" would be horizontal,,,that doesn't have to be the case! Look at a diagonal "S". Then you could have a skinny diagonal "S" or a fat diagonal "S" depending on how you want the stick,,,more or less responsive at mid stick.

Isn't this fun?,,LOL Grin

If the middle of the S was straight up then you would have 100% pitch at about 1/4 stick.
13 degrees of pitch at about 450 rpm's would be tough to manage Grin

I just got my TX out and tried it for giggles.
A slow S curve gave me 23% at point 3 and 94% at point 4.
That would be crazy,huh?

Try a few on yours and see if any of them are flyable.lol....
