weight shouldnt be a problem, the ultra 40 specs out at 5.3-5.7lbs   the OS 46 lifts my 7lb P51 pts quite well

Pinoydad,
To me the ultra was a good first low wing acrobatics airplane and with an OS46(fast) it's great. Mine was kit built and I clearenced the  control surfaces for more throw, set my radio for duel rates and had a blast with the responsiveness. Since I don't Know what or how your radio is set up or how far you have your thows set be cautious. Are you using a full range radio or a park flier? Being a low wing you will find the ground effect on landing different than your trainer and the ultra has less dyhedral (cant spell) than a trainer does so it's not self correcting like a trainer.
