$190.00 invested in all this TREX 450 CLONE without receiver. This is less than the total cost of the popular Futaba 401 gyro and s9257servo.I have genuines trex 500 and others , JR G770 GYROS, JR 8900($150.00 tail servos) and do some mild 3D so I think you can take my word. This is not BS, see the video. If you are a newbie, why spend more in an 450 helicopter to show off the brand names that you are making wealthy? If you have the budget to buy a genuine one, you should buy this heli and tons of spare parts. That way you are gonna fly a lot more and better than the average people. And if you want to, you could buy genuine parts to eventually have a genuine Trex 450. If all this is a lie, then it means that Im the best 3d performer in the world!!!!!!:Roll Eyes))) If you buy it remember to change the $39.95 kits grips, it must be aluminum grips, or buy the kit that comes with them (about $15.00more...), it is a must have... I dont work for XHELI, im just proud of my cheap machine and angry to see how those brands has took advantage of me. Wants to buy a new 6s charger since my Hyperion eos0606i doesnt works anymore, any cheap proven good charger sugestions welcome...

Hey Guys.... New guy here. I just ordered the EXI Aluminum 450 V2 a couple days ago. Also most of the stuff I'll need for the build.
I have an old Hirobo Shuttle I flew years ago but these electrics have come a long way since then so I jumped back into it. Been warming up on the Real Flight! I'll be around with pics when I begin the build. Till then fly safe...

Welcome back Rob!  I'd imagine they have progressed, thank goodness.  you made an excellent choice in your purchase too.  Take your time getting it set up, and don't be afraid to ask questions.  There are a number of guys on here with loads of experience and a wealth of knowledge on these heli's, and most have your heli (which is also my heli).  If you haven't already, check out the video walk-through of building the EXI 450.  It isn't everything you'll need to know, but worth watching.

I saw your other post in the test stand thread... Good you got RealFlight.  As for the stand... not sure you need it, but I do think it would be nice to make a table-top version, like a modified lazy susan to help get it set up properly.

What did you get for a TX and electronics?

Thanks for the welcome MrSato. I HAVE been watching alot of the tutorials on the builds and some of the electronics used in them.
I have a Futaba 6EX 2.4Ghz for it and the other stuff is (Exceed 9g digital servos, exceed proton 30amp speed control, a 450 3500kv brushless motor and GY-292 headlock gyro.) I bought a couple 15c 1800mah lipos but some guys say the 2200's are better.
We'll see....Hope I made some good choices on electrics. I see alot of guys using this stuff and I usually go with stuff I'm familiar with (Like Futaba, JR etc) but who has that kinda cash these days?

Robot, nice video.  The thunder AC6 or T6 will work for 6s, I don't work for xheli.

Hey MC, you're not talking about the Dynam GY48V are you?  If not, do you have any experience with them?

Others seem to like them but I just can't get mine dialed in.
May be a bad one.
