Hi guys I finally got RealFlight G5.  I guess the heli that flies most like mine is the Dominion 3D with the dual rates switched off.  I was wondering if any of you had any tips on customizing the helis to get one that responds more like my BR does in real life.  From what I have tried in real life these helis on the sim flip and roll over far easier and faster then my BR.  For example, all I have to do is pull back on the stick to do a loop.  My real heli does not act like that.  Also the 450 size helis are way faster than my real one.  Anybody custom their realflight helis around here?  Thanks for looking.

Nobody?  I think it would be the same as doing it on G4.5.  Anybody done it on that version?

I found some custom heli's online that fly quite like my BlueRay.  One is a TRex 450 SE V2 that somebody made.  I have noticed that any of these custom ones I have used had way too much gain on the HH gyro.  Could be a product of me using G5 when these were designed on earlier versions, I don't know, but I have them working well now.

Mike, I can’t help with RF, but have been trying to get other SIMs to match the BR without much luck – the Trex V2 SIM model is not bad, but it still does easier loops and flips than the BR. The setup of the actual heli makes a big difference – not sure if it is possible to dial in both heli and SIM exactly the same? For example, I’ve taken the expo recommendations from David and others here and played around with it. I’ve settled at 10% and with my Futaba 10CHG the BR almost hovers itself – too easy. My experience has been that the SIM is more difficult to hover, but easier to fly than the BR.

Yeah I hear ya, my BR will absolutely not flip like they do on the sim.  On the sim all I have to do is pull back on the right stick and it will flip all by itself.  I tried that with my BR at a high rate of forward speed and as soon as the nose got vertical the heli just started dropping like a rock LOL.  I have to work my +/- pitch to force it to flip in the real world.
