Nitroplanes electric A6M Zero

Recently purchased the Zero. Put it together, centered the solinoids and charged the battery. Followed the the start up directions exactly in turning on the control, then the a/c. The only response when the battery was connected in the a/c was for the control surfaces to go to full throw and lock-up. Tried again with the same result. Is it something simple like the on/off switch in the wrong position (I can't find one on the a/c by the way)? Now what?
