I have just purchased a 1/10 forza buggy and have found a local race club to join.
Unfortunatly, there is no 1/10th scale 4WD division, just 2 wheel drive. The pit chief says
noone should complain, but if they do, can the car be made 2WD? Is it as simple as removing
the front dog bone? If so, could that harm the transmission or front differential? I won't do it if
there's any risk to the car, but in the interest of fairness, I thought I should look into the modification.
Thanks for any input.

I also just purchased a Forza. It seems to be a very nice, fast car.  One of my front dogbones keeps falling out, and I can't figure out why.  It feels like that one dogbone is too short.

I'm curious what would happen if I remove the other front dogbone, so it is only driving with the 2 rear wheels.  How would this affect the performance?

With two wheel drive turning and braking will be more difficult and less controlled.  Acceleration will also be more difficult to control, but 2WD usually accelerates faster than 4WD.

im just curious as to know why you would wanna switch to 2 wheel. I dono much about it but does that purely affect speed or what? i know you can use car parts to excelerate speed too! my friend told me (consider the source) that you can use foreign car parts to make it that much sweeter. what he uses is audi tt performance parts as well as Eclipse Performance Chips to make his RC car badass.

ill post pics to show you what i mean if youre interested. in the meantime, hit me back ima newbie..

The race club I'm thinking about joining doesn't have a 1/10th 4WD class, just two wheel.
If someone whines about me running 4WD I might have to down grade. From what I've read these Exceed buggys are kind of toy like in their stamina. So far, my Forza has ran hard and fast, hit stuff hard enough to shut off the receiver, etc., with no trouble. I'm a newbie too though, hence my inquiry.

to fix your receiver issue  fill the receiver box with foam and stick it back in there also put some tape or a zip tie on you battery holder  :d to be fair the forza isn't suited for jumping but its plenty grunty for tracks  best bet is leave it four wheel drive i did a two wheel drive test and damn thing just did donuts in the dirt Tongue sounds like your club manager is a jerk best bet is rally all the rcers that are there and tell the guy  what for Cheesy
