Just got my sunfire brushless upgraded buggie a couple weeks ago. Ran fine about 15-20 charges then one day is was just acting weird right at the start. It seemed to have about the same speed but would instantly stop if I let off the throttle as if I was braking. I took it all apart and figured it was the motor or the controller for it. The motor has a ton of vibration unless I go full trigger and even then it doesn't sound close to full speed. All the gears look fine and the only thing I can think of as the problem is the motor. Any help from people more experienced than me is welcome.

Nevermind. I Pulled the motor out and ran it while blowing canned air in it. Seemed to of fixed whatever was cause those crazy vibrations.

would it like say jitter trying to go, or like if you give it power but it goes but reallly fast like go, stop, go, stop. that is called cogging and thhe motor isn't getting enough amps wethher your baatery is low or your battery is just getting old.

No its not the battery being low as I have 2 or 3 fully charged batteries on hand most of the time and can tell when its low. The situation happened again after running it pretty hard on a grass lawn. Im guessing that electric r/c cars just go through motors after so many runs. I wish this motor had more of a heat sink and not have such open holes on it which lets dust and dirt in.

anyway to clarify when the motor does get dirty and basically doesn't run it jitter/vibrates a lot only at the minimum application of power but can still get a bit of speed if you force it. It also immediately stops if you let off power instead of being gradual.

As of now it still running fine although I need to go get some jb weld to attach the ecu. The ecu melted off the frame the first time I ran it lol.
