I bought the Techone Extra 300 epp from Nitroplanes. It did not come with a builder's manual. After contacting Nitroplanes, they told me that the kit was shipped from Techone without a manual. I can't begin to build it without the manual. Has anyone else bought this plane and was there a manual with the kit? Nitroplanes is still selling this airplane and supposedly there is no manual. Thanks for any help.

So I just got my Bixler 1.1, assembled it, and flew it long before the glue on the tail was dry x) Slowly slipped out, eventually requiring me to pull the elevator stick all the way back and deploy my flaperons to keep it from nose diving. Got it down in heavy grass, ripping the wings off and breaking one wing where the screws through the fuse go through that wing. Took the wing apart and glued it. No biggie. Got everything clamped for the night so it's solid tomorrow. But I have a Radian Pro full wing assembly with a cut down carbon spar so the wings come completely together rather than having the gap that the Radian Pro normally requires. This was from a failed scratch build a while ago where I chose to use a preassembled wing. Well while the Bixler was apart, I decided to see how the Radian wing fit. It's a near perfect match. Other than the length, the wings are nearly identical. Who thinks I should try this out? Adds approx a foot of total wing span, you end up with flaps, the carbon spar is SIGNIFICANTLY thicker, and the wing is designed to carry a heavier load so folding it up on a stock Bixler just isn't going to happen. Just have to figure out how to attach it to the Bixler in a way where I don't need to modify it much if at all. Likely velcro for a test flight. Anybody see flaws in my plan?

Need to lighten tail heavy plane

I have a plane that is extremely tail heavy. Moving the battery and/or electronics makes little difference. I have to add 1/4lb of weight to the front of the plane in order to make it just some-what balanced. I don't need to re-position electronics, I need to eliminate weight. Does anyone have any ideas?

Mythbusters was on tonight and they were demonstrating a 'myth' where someone used duct tape to repair a bear-ravaged wing on a small aircraft in remote Alaska. I was kind of thinking I could do the same thing with this plane.

The tail seems a bit heavy due to the density of the foam where the fuselage kind of comes together into a point just before meeting with the tail-fin. I'm thinking I could cut large sections out of the back of the fuselage and then replace the sections with large pieces of tape or some sort of synthetic fiber. I'm thinking that removing most of the foam will help to remove weight at the cost of structural stability -- but that's ok with me.

Has anyone tried this? Any other suggestions?

Here is the plane that I'm going to try it on. It's a Guanli 4ch Spitfire.
